16 in Sioux Falls up for scholarshipsThe Sioux Falls School District said 16 of its students are among 16,000 semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship program. Lincoln High School has nine of those students, Roosevelt four and Washington three. About 8,200 students receive a Merit Scholarship in one of three types. National Merit Scholarships are worth $2,500. There are college- and corporate-sponsored awards as well.
